Format For Papers And Posters
Please e-mail us your paper/poster paper by not later than 15 June 2010 in Word. Papers will be peer-reviewed and returned to presenters by 15 July 2010 for final revision. Deadline for receipt of papers 31 July 2010. Only reviewed papers will be published. The paper/poster, accompanied by any references, tables, illustrations, diagrams and photos should not exceed
Paper - 10 pages in length.
Poster paper – 5 pages in length (Presentation time 3 – 5 minutes)
20 minutes presentation time, 10 minutes question time.
Please use single spacing and a Times New Roman 11 pitch font. An example of the format and layout is attached. The first page of the manuscript must contain the title of the paper, full name/s and affiliation/s of the author/s, full mailing address and all contact details and the abstract. The abstract should be in bold font. In the case of more than one author, the name of the author presenting the poster must be underlined. Three spaces should be left after the abstract before starting with the first heading of the poster paper. Each page must be numbered, including those with references, tables and illustrations.
Headings, sections and paragraphs should not be numbered, but the following hierarchy should be followed:

Page setup margins are as follows: left 3cm; right, top, and bottom all 2.5cm. All paragraphs should be left aligned.
References should be standardised by the use of the Harvard system – see attached example of paper. Thus the reference appears in the text, in brackets, with the authors’ names, followed by a comma and the year. The reference list at the end of the paper is in alphabetical order.
Posters
Please e-mail us your poster image in jpg by not later than 31 July 2010. Posters can be put up on Sunday 22 August 2010 already. Only one poster per presenter will be accepted.
| Poster size: | No larger than A0 (841 × 1189 mm). A strip of 10cm is left across the top of the board for the author’s name and affiliation and the title of the paper. This lettering is to be provided by the author. Explanatory notes of not more than 200 words should convey the main points. |

| Mounting: | Able to be mounted using Prestik or double-sided tape. |
