International Association for Impact Assessment -
Southern Africa Regional Conference
Lord Charles Hotel, Somerset West
5–9 November 2007
The purpose of the conference is to set a clear and shared direction for impact assessment in the Southern Africa region, to identify common priorities that need to be addressed if our resources are to be managed for sustainable development, and to pool regional expertise to improve the practice of impact assessment.
The organising committee has decided to adopt the proposed current format because it believes that it will stimulate debate and the development of clear policies for the future.
Workshop chairs have been identified, and a limited number of speakers will be invited for each workshop. Delegates participate in a structured ‘open space’.
Members will be notified of updates by e-brief. Please visit the conference page regularly.
Registration costs for the 5-day conference will be in the region of R4 000.
